Kieserite is a highly effective fertiliser that supplies crops with readily available magnesium and sulphur, two essential nutrients for plant vitality. Magnesium is central to chlorophyll production and photosynthesis, while sulfur is key in amino acid and vitamin synthesis. Together, they promote healthy growth, stress resilience, and higher yields.

Deficiencies of magnesium and sulphur can be seen in yellowing between leaf veins, leaf tip necrosis, and stunted growth. Crops such as maize, soybeans, and tobacco show reduced photosynthetic efficiency and poor fruit development when deficient. Kieserite corrects these issues quickly thanks to its high solubility, making it ideal for both soil and foliar application.

In oil palm cultivation, field studies in Malaysia and Papua New Guinea show that annual kieserite applications of 2–4 kg per tree can raise foliar magnesium levels from deficient (~0.20%) to optimal (~0.26%), increasing fruit bunch yields by up to 15%. Kieserite also activates stress-reducing enzymes, enhancing resilience in tropical climates.

Kieserite is recommended for crops such as banana, citrus, sugarcane, tea, potato, cotton, rice, and more. It performs particularly well in acidic, leaching-prone soils like those in southern China. As a base fertiliser, topdressing, or foliar spray, it supports high-value horticulture and precision agriculture. With proven yield improvements of 10–30%, Kieserite remains a vital input for sustainable and productive farming systems.
